Tarzan

Whoever did this card must have been drunk!

First of all, the name of the organization is wrong! I hope its just this card but I know I’m being overly optimistic on that.

The name of the organization is “Public Authority for Minors Affairs” according to the directory of the main e-government website (which is way better than any of the ministries). They messed up with the of/for and affair/affairs. So thats TWO mistakes in the name of the organization printed on their own business cards.

To make things worse, the guy’s title is Direczor! How?! The T isn’t even close to the Z to be a typo!

Of course, their Web.www.pama.gov.kw is also messed up.
But to be fair, this is a perfect reflection of the place and most governmental institutions in Kuwait. I have to admit its still better than the Pubic Authority of Agriculture, which was thankfully changed very soon afterwards.

I traveled to Tokyo two months ago for vacation. I loved it, and will post pictures from the trip at a later date, but for now I will just post one picture that shows that Tarzan is an international phenomenon and not limited to Kuwait!

Enjoy -

Talk about working overtime!!

I saw this last in the newspaper last week -

U gotta love their attention to detail!

Saw this last week in the newspaper …

So you have a summer program, you have the Crown Prince and his sister as sponsors for the program, and your spending on newspaper advertising, you cant check the name of the program??

Yet again, another tarzanism strikes!! This time, thanks to Judy Abbott for emailing me this link with the following main title and this image -

I actually missed the spelling mistake the first time around …. but when I did, I couldn’t stop laughing!!

LOL!! Pubic Authority of Agriculture & Fish Resources!! How disgusting is that??

Just in case you don’t know what the big deal is if they forgot one letter, please feel free to learn what effect this one letter makes -

Tarzan make translate … again -

This time its from AlWatan yesterday.

The problem is that its a headline!!

Ghiras have done many public awareness campaigns regarding smoking, drugs, child abuse, and so on, and most of them have actually been good, unlike Rekaaz’s campaigns which try to teach us how to raise our children and how we should make our morals just like theirs, and nothing towards helping Kuwait or the society in general! Rekaaz is basically a propaganda machine created purely to raise the profile to Mohammed AlAwathi and push his views!

Anyway, the reason I mention Ghiras is that I was checking up their website in English and they need to check their translations. It looks like they went to someone like these guys, and went for exact literal tranlations instead of the meaning of the campaigns -

Tarzan make translate.
