Although this survey is interesting, I would love to know more about the gender specific smoking! Lets try a new survey with more details -

While listening to the radio the other day, there was a news report about smoking in the Middle East. The figures were very interesting, but unfortunately I couldnt find the link on the BBC arabic website even though they say that you can usually find all their programs and reports online!
From what I remember, two things were most interesting -
Thankfully, only 1 or 2 of my close friends actually smokes, but I have many other friends who smoke like crazy! I had to cut down on my visits to certain places because of the amount of smoking! I used to smoke sheesha once in a while, now I practically stopped.
I still want to see how many of you people smoke?
If you have an occasional cigar or sheesha like once every two weeks or so, that doesnt count as smoking!

I am against the death penalty.
I think it is an uncivilized way of acting like God and deciding to end someone’s life. Anyway, reading this article today made me think about a couple of things.
First of all, we are executing 6 individuals who were charged with terrorist acts, while the people who incite these individuals, and brainwash young men to do ridiculous acts like that, walk away freely.
Basically, the seeds of all this terrorism are not even given a slap on the wrist, while the last part of the chain is cut off! These young men are easily replaced and multiplied by numbers too, whats the use in killing them while the first part of the chain remains there?
Anyway, the death penalty has become a regular part of our culture here, with news and pictures (unbelieveble) in the newspapers at all times. Our society is deeply disturbed, and you can see that in the large numbers of people who flock to see hangings at Naif palace! Young and old men and women go there like its a picnic, and they probably dont know anything about the person being executed! Its just live entertainment and an adrenaline rush to go there and see someone’s life being ended!!!
And most of the time its the same case as the one mentioned earlier, the pakistani or irani or whatever person being killed as the drugdealer is just an instrument used by the real drug trafficers and is very easily replaced!
We need to skip the small fish and concentrate on the big heads. In some cases, like the one above, the big heads are widely known, and they seem to be above the law so nothing will stop them from recruiting more people who might end up with the same fate as these six.

With what I think is the lowest number of participants in my polls so far, Johnny Rockets’ burgers are the best in Kuwait!!
Well, for all u Johnny Rockets lovers, I think I heard that they will be open soon somewhere closer than Salmiya, not sure though, so I wont mention it…
Burger Boutique has to be mentioned because getting 23% of the votes in the short time that it opened is surely an achievement!
I shouldnt have even mentioned Chilis or Fridays but at least now I know for sure..
Where would you find the best ‘non-fastfood’ burger in Kuwait?

Guess what?? Like their campaign says …. u guys are lovin’ it! McDonald’s is the king of fast food!
Shawarma comes 2nd, with Hardeez and Subway following…..
The major surprise here to me is KFC with ZERO votes!! This is the restaurant that spends more on advertising in Kuwait than any of the others mentioned! Supposedly it is also one of the best performing restaurants here, but I guess the bloggers disagree …..
What is your favorite fast food restaurant in Kuwait?
