My little sister called me a couple of days ago to tell me that my gift birthday gift arrived!

I have to admit I had no clue whatsoever what to expect! Anyway, I finally recieved it, and it was a great surprise!!

The full volume of the first season of the ThunderCats!!!

She never saw any episodes from this due to her young age, but she saw thudercats action figures that my brother and I used to play with when we were kid! Also, I have a tshirt I bought a couple of years ago with the thundercats logo. It looked something like this -

Im sure she heard us talking about too more than once, because it really is a great gift! I cant wait to see all 33 episodes!!

I haven’t seen this show in many many years, so Im looking forward to it!

I think ill start my own collection now, ill get the rest of the episodes for the ThunderCats, as well as Sanshiro and Captain Majid!

If I created my own world, or if I was a rich dictator, I know I can create a transport system that would be perfect! Today going and coming back from near shalaihs, I saw nearly 2 major accidents happen in front of me, as well as an accident that already happened, plus all the cars destroyed on the side of the road and all the crazy drivers! This is when this idea came to me!

This system will eliminate the major problems caused in any system -

1. Accidents and deaths
2. Delays
3. Pollution

This sounds too good to be true, but this could be the way for transport in the future…..

This system would consist of no cars. It is basically a grid system of something like big conveyer belts with cabins to protect from the heat and other weather stuff. This sounds a bit far fetched, but think about it. If a country spent money on building this conveyer belt system instead of all the money spent on building roads, lighting them, and would save everyone the cost of buying cars! Instead of spending thousands on a car, everyone would pay a standard fee to use the system, which would go back to the country to cover charges in creating the system.

This is very different than a subway system or a monorail or any of that. It eliminates any chance of an accident in the subway or monorail, or even delays. Obviously there would have to be lots of backup systems to ensure it doesnt break down, but even if it does break down, noone will get injured bcz the whole system is down, and nothing is crashing into anything else!

As for timing, you will be able to know exactly how long it will take to get from any point to another bcz of the constant speed, so delays cant be used as an excuse to work ;P Also, it will give people a way to be precise and save time. If I know that it will take me 20 mins to get from home to work, I could leave home exactly 21 mins before work time knowing for sure that I wont be delayed!

There are many positives behind this idea if you think about it! Of course the idea still has many flaws, and im sure engineers and ppl with technical knowledge will be able to fix these flaws.

If anyone talks about the costs, think of the lives it will save, the pollution it will prevent, as well as the money that will be saved from not buying cars, which could be put back towards maintaining the system.

UPDATE - After hearing strange sounds when I try to start it, I gave it an old fashioned bang with my fist….and voila!! IT WORKED!!

Who says violence doesnt solve anything?!?!?

Yes….my laptop died yesterday after weeks of suffering and slowdowns!

Just when I got back to blogging, this happens!! Anyway, restoration attempts will be on course soon, wish me and my pc lots of luck!

Remember this post about my bad memory??

In a nutshell, my memory sucks! I cant remember any details from a few years earlier! I even have problems remembering things as recent as in college! My friends hate that about me, and they really hate talking about the old days or reminiscing in any form, bcz I just spoil the fun by not remembering anything they are talking about! Of course, anything from before I was 15 or so is gone from my head! I remember weird things with no significance but the major things I forget!

Anyway, thats not the crazy part, the crazy part about my memory is that when it comes to cartoon songs from childhood, its extremely good!!!!

I cant remember any of my teachers from before 8th grade but I can recite the words of every Arabic cartoon song I used to see! Even ones i didnt really watch much! U know whats worse?? I forget the names of the cartoons but I remember every word in the songs!

Yes, Im finally back after the short break away from the blog!

Id like to thank everyone first for their wonderful birthday wishes

The break took a bit longer than it was intended to, but its all good. Im feeling good.

My brain took a vacation for a week or so! I decided that it needed a break from life, so I switched all systems off and just relaxed my brain, its like my brain took a trip to a tropical island and did nothing but get a tan, eat, sleep, and relax!

All this without leaving Kuwait! I didn’t think at all for a week, I didnt work, I didnt interact with strangers, I spent time doing nothing significant, and it was PERFECT!

This is what I feel like -

I woke up late everyday and went for coffee or breakfast somewhere outdoors enjoying the gorgeous weather and then did lunch somewhere also outdoors. Marina crescent is amazing on a beautiful weekday morning! Highly recommended! And that new plance there, Le Pain Quotidien, has one of the best breakfasts Ive had in Kuwait! Their omelet is excellent, and their egg benedict is even better!

That came after a wonderful gift from my wife for my birthday, which was basically booking a surprise romantic getaway at the Marina hotel! Since we both couldnt travel, it was the perfect gift to me! Im not a big fan of gifts like watches or wallets and so on, I appreciate things like trips or so on bcz of the good times and memories alot more! Material gifts are things that u can anywhere from anyone, but special memories with someone special stay forever, so thank you dear for the wonderful birthday gift

All in all the whole week was a much needed break from the daily regular life!

Of course it cant all be happy happy joy joy, there were (still are) some major decisions to make in terms of carreer. Things are still shaping themselves out, and an outcome should be expected sometime soon. Im optimistic about this, which probably is a major reason for the good vibes ive had recently!

Now Im starting a very very much needed diet that is the result of Ramadan and the days since Ramadan where all I have been doing is eating and sleeping, with no movement at all!

I missed blogging, but now Im back after a break full of energy….

How gorgeous is this weather btw?!! During the day u just dont want to stay indoors, and at night, the cool breeze and fog make u feel like ur traveling! I LOVE IT!

Well obviously this post is about everything and nothing at the same time, and again its a personal post, which I dont like doing but I feel like I need this one.

Everybody has bad and annoying habits, I have many of those, but there are two that really annoy me and affect me negatively!

1. I can’t sleep! I always considered myself as a night person, I’m the kind of person who wouldn’t mind working till 12am if u let me start after 12pm! My mind is alot more active and alert at night and I feel like working much more than in the mornings! I always have problems sleeping early, I never sleep before 2 or 3 am on weekdays! That by itself isn’t the annoying part, the annoying part is the reason I cant sleep.When I lay down trying to sleep, I cant, I keep thinking…..about nothing in particular, and about everything! About major things like work and finance, and about tiny useless details such as when is the construction in our area ending, or about an Arsenal goal two seasons ago, and so on…..non stop annoying mind numbing thinking!!!!! This leads me to trying to distract myself as much as possible, through TV, internet, books, games, magazines, sudoku, whatever it is to keep myself distracted until I cant keep my eyes open and so exhausted that I sleep the second my head hits the pillow, the only problem is that by then its usually past 4 am!!
2. I have to finish whatever food I have in front of me….even when I’m already full halfway through the meal! There is also a reason for this, and that is that I always leave my favorite thing to the end (I dont know why)! That means that I have to eat everything else first to get to it! If I stop eating when Im full, I will miss out on my favorite part of the meal whatever it is, so I keep eating!This also comes from what our parents used to tell us when we were kids about eating whatever is in our plate bcz we cant throw food away when there are people starving (when I was a kid I never understood that, I thought that their chances of finding the food is better when its dumped somewhere than in my stomach)!

hmmm….ok thats it! I try to make this blog more about Kuwait and social issues and less personal, but I just had to get this off my chest, some sort of therapy I guess! Any help in fixing these problems would be very much appreciated!

Everytime I go to a sheesha place or a coffee shop, I order the exact same order, and I ALWAYS get a funny reaction from the waiter! And when the order arrives, it surprises them when I tell them that both orders are for me…

I have a personal combination of drinks that I order, and everybody around me thinks its either weird or disgusting….I love it!!

Thats turkish coffee with no sugar and a diet pepsi!

I dont drink one then the other. I drink a sip of one, then the other, then back and forth and so on. The diet pepsi has to be the new blue can one, not the old metal tasting one! Call me crazy, but I think they go together perfectly, plus the perfect caffiene rush!

If u see someone drinking that in a cafe, dont hesitate to come up and say hi!

My friends were discussing this earlier, and were talking about other people’s weird drink or food combos……do u have any?
