Cancelling debt will cause more problems than any it is perceived to fix. My main fear is the obvious inflation and the long term negative effect on us all as individuals even before the country as a whole. But at the same time this is a file I don’t wish to see closed because of the light it forces on the topic which does need to be addressed… mainly the banks’ “above the law” attitude. We don’t need new laws to be passed, we have existing ones that are not being enforced. It is one aspect of the corruption that is so widespread vs the law that should be upheld.
The banks have deliberately saturated and then super-saturated the market with debt using illegal methods and bypassing laws. What’s to be done about that?

I’ve noticed that there are so many skepticisms when this issue is brought to the discussion. Lets face it and analyze, not to wrongly point fingers at a certain group of our society (ya shosho) .
While our beloved government donating hundreds of millions for no valid reasons. There more than 72,000 names to comprehended for are being dragged to jail because 2,000 kd default payment, as of January 20th, 2010.
Secondly, our goverment comes with annoucements that insult its people, when Dr. Mohammed Al-Sabah (Foreign Minister) annouced that Kuwait is proud for not being a heaven to terrorist activities, kuwait thinking of building 5,000 housing units and building a hospital in Al-Basra. Why do you such comments ?? are there people around him with a sense in their mind??
That is in Iraq.
why drag us into their mess?? these peolpe are in a major conflicts (social, political, power, ethnic, and religious). Once you commit yourself to them, you are going to be used like before. While Kuwait again has more than 50,000 thousand family is waiting for their housing applications to be processed, and Allah knows what kind of health system we got here. Please direct your energy towards your country, not somewhere else. Where you are unappreciated.
I am not in need for the goverment to buy my loan’s interest, but many thousands families are. If we have one true claim amongst the 72,000 claims, the rest will be justified. our people deserve the kindness of our government.
Wierd justice:
Maha al-Ghunaim (Miss Global’ Ali mama) gets away with millions, while they still comprehending a kids with 70 kd mobile phone charges defaulted payments. (عجبى)
