In my Do you Tweet? post, I said the following about AlQabas newspaper -
“On the media side, AlWatan is the only account that is active. Sadly, AlQabas is probably 20 years behind and I doubt they even know that it exists. AlJarida had an account which was active for 1 day and four tweets.”
As of a week or two ago, I started seeing this on their online site -
I have to give it to them. I was very wrong, and they beat AlWatan and the rest of the papers with this. I saw that it’s been used a few times on facebook too! I think this is an excellent way for a newspaper to get out there and especially to get their content spread.
I have to say I am very pleasantly surprised about this!

Yah so usefull
they just need people to tell them that’s all….. like most institutions in Kuwait they’ll learn and fix themselves if you point out how ….

forza, ya as soon as I saw the facebook icon i started looking for AlQabas page or something similar, couldn’t find anything.

KTDP, Id like to believe that but unfortunately I think most companies and institutions are too afraid of failing to try something new. That is why you see the status quo.
Hind, I agree, even with some dip in form recently, it is still by far the best newspaper out there

It is indeed sad to see the news papers in Kuwait are far behind the era… of course exceptions are there.. however, many of them are not even updating the sites with latest news… and it is something like you will have to wait till next day for the news… forget about tweets…
