لم أكتب من أسبوع لكن عذري معاي … أنا حاليا في أبوظبي و قبل ساعتين انتهيت من ويك أند موسيقي رائع
وصلنا أنا و زوجتي صباح يوم الجمعة لحضور ثلاث حفلات موسيقية …. أندريا بوتشيللي الجمعة، كولدبلاي السبت، و ماجدة الرومي الأحد
Andrea Bocelli on Friday, Coldplay Saturday, and Majida Alroumi on Sunday.
أندريا بوتشيللي أبدع بصوته الخيالي أخذ الجمهور في رحلة أوبرا رائعة و سحرنا بصوته
و اليوم التالي استمتعنا مع كولدبلاي بالرغم من المطر الشديد المفاجئ
Coldplay were true entertainers, they made the most of a windy and rainy night and Chris Martin’s impromtu rendition of “singing in the rain” was a perfect example of the band’s spirit, making the most of the bad weather! Luckily, the torrential rain didn’t last long, only 30 mins or so … but Coldplay were really great, much better than I thought they could ever be! Their interaction with the audience was great (the best example was bringing a girl to stage to sing to her for her birthday). I’m not a huge fan, but after meeting Chris Martin, their leader singer, the day before and taking a picture with him, and after seeing him in action, I am definitely glad we attended the concert, we seriously had a blast!!

ماجدة الرومي أعتبرها شخصيا أفضل مغنية عربية بلا منازع … صوتها العذب يأخذ المستمع في رحلة إلى عالم جميل و حلم خيالي
بدون مبالغة أحسست كأني أطير، أو على الأقل أطفو إلى مكان هو الفن بعينه … إسمع الصوت الملائكي للفنانة ماجدة الرومي بالفيديو و بالذات بالنهاية
قبل حفلتها بيومين صادفناها أنا و زوجتي في حفلة أندريا بوتشيللي و أخذنا صورة معاها … و بكل صراحة أعترف أنها من أفضل اللحظات في حياتي

أندريا بوتشيللي و ماجدة الرومي أتوا إلى أبو ظبي كجزء من “مهرجان أبوظبي السادس للموسيقى و الفنون” 2009 … و هو مهرجان أتى بباليه البولشوي الروسية الشهيرة بالإضافة إلى لطيفة و نصير شمه و غيرهم من الفنانين و الرسامين
في كل الحفلات الثلاث استمتعنا كثيرا و بقدر ما استمتعنا كنا نتحسر على الكويت … متى نوصل المستوى الثقافي هذا؟؟
و مثل ما قالت الفنانة ماجدة الرومي “الفن و الثقافة هما المقياس للحضارة و المهرجان الثقافي في أبوظبي هو نور في العتمة العربية” … متى يأتي دورنا يا كويت؟؟

Glad you enjoyed Coldplay, if I hadn’t already seen them last September I would’ve had a nervous breakdown for not going this weekend

I was there, attanded Majda Al Roumi, and Bocelli. missed Naseer Shamma though…
I LOVE Bocelli, he sings with FEELING. It could be his being blind that makes him more…something.

I saw a lot of Kuwaitis there… it was an amazing show… the organizers of the event sucked and I almost had a fight but Bocelli made the anger go away! LOL
I should post some of the videos I took… he really brought tears to my eyes… I wanted him to sing Ava Maria but oh well he sang most of my favorites… I loved it when he sang Granada and the other performers were pretty good as well… over all it was AMAZING!!
o I wanted to go to Majda so bad but the tickets were sold out
and coldplay I was thinking of everyone who went to that concert with the rain and the crazy weather but I’m glad you and your wife had a great time
