The AWAN billboard has a big headline saying "Awan Lel ta3'yeer"..hmmm TIME FOR A CHANGE!!! …why do I always get the feeling that the marketing campaigns for these logos start in English and end up in a bad Arabic translation which makes it lose its essence.

one is blue, one is purple, one is yellow (three different unique colors). Every font is unique too. The layout they use is modern and is the least you can expect in this day and age in terms of readability and clarity (although al Jareda tops all in the layout) and so if it looks similar, thats because its the standard in modern newspapers.

So can someone explain to me why anyone would claim they look the same ?

Mashalla 3alaik mola7athat ! ;p

I like the comparison between our newspapers and the tabloids.

But if you notice, the older newspapers with the gothic font were found ages ago, compared to our humble newspapers so kilish no comparison there.

But again, very interesting !

the similarities are not only in the style of each new newspapers but also in the contents of each, did you read the headlines of each papers in the last five days, my god same wording , same pictures, same stories, i thought like one editor is running the show. i believe buying one paper a day is enough to know whats going on in kuwait politics, economic and social life, no mention the (kuna) wire which is disgusting.

Notice the little drawing between the 'Aleph' and the 'Lam' in An-Nahar. It is so unoriginal. You will find it repeated in one form or another in most of the older Kuwaiti newspaper logos.

It looks like something that might have been added at the end 'after' the original design was completed.

Aljarida is very very well done. Beautiful, and very appealing; It grabbed my attention from day one. I love it!
