I saw this website yesterday called myfootballclub.co.uk , which takes the internet and web 2.0 to a whole new level!
Basically, you register to the site and promise to pay ₤35 when the registered people reach 50,000! That will give the site around ₤1,400,000 after all the fees, and that money will go towards purchasing a football club to be run by the 50,000 owners!! All the decisions, even the formation and transfers will go through the 50,000 members who each own the same number of shares!
So basically I could own a second or third division club and affect the decisions of it from right here behind my desk in Kuwait!
Gotta love globalization!

Well, I’ve seen many silly and crazy ideas on the web, like help me get richer then bill gates and Million dollar homepage which sells pixel for dollar. After taking the money, good luck finding your pixel!
This seems and could be a possible scam one. It’s tempting to invest 35 euros only and own part of the club. There are real crazy true ideas as well though. Wise man said it though, no ship can be lead by two. (It’s what Curse of Black Pearl all about :P). so what do you think of a club owned by 50,000 people from all origins. some of them might be even dead before the time.
It will be something worse than Etihad al Kuwaiti

It’s silly how you can make money online by fooling people if you want. I just noticed they already have over 34 thousand registered users. It would be interesting if this ones turns out to be real and successful. Can you imagine how much we would regret it

Scam or not. I’m in! Q since our first en devour failed miserably lets try this one out for size. Plus 35 pounds aint so much. And if a guy can get away with stealing 50,000 peoples money I say good for him.

Well, actually I noticed later there is a link to BBC news on the site. ex-Fulham personal is in the project and it’s official even BBC had news about it.
So mostly he’s not gonna steal your 35 euros. But it’s not investment as I thought. You don’t get any money back even if (imagine) the team wins Champions League.

That’s a really innovative idea! If it’s successful, the 50,000 owners really need professional managers and coaches to do the day-to-day management of the clubs. Another good news is that the club will automatically add 50,000 fans!
A friend of mine has been dreaming to own a football club himself! But he has approached more traditional channel, i.e. private buy-out firms. Not as cool as the method you wrote about
