A friend of mine sent this to me and according to him this is the new logo for MTC with the new name -
The colors and resolution are not that great, but at least you can see the logo with the name.
I like it to be honest, but I haven’t seen the colors! The name is in English, but the logo seems to be Zain in Arabic if im not mistaken. My friends and I were debating whether the name change is the right move, and the opinions are divided, I don’t see anything wrong with it, its actually one of the few Arabic names that doesn’t sound too Arabic or complicated and could be a global brand!
If we look at the other telecom companies in the region with an Arabic name – Wataniya, Mobily, Nawras, Zain ….. it sounds the best out of the four, and the easiest to pronounce no matter what ur language is! It is also a less corporate (MTC) and more friendly and human name to match the mass target of the company.

Like you said… its easier a title/name for non-arabic people to say coompared to the other examples you stated….Also… The name indeed is more ‘friendly’ to the customer compared to MTC (which sounds so industrial/corporate-like).
The name makes a huge difference if they are competing for Global Business/Int’l Customers.

Sure the name is good, but is the service back to expectations?
simple and easy name, but what does it mean “Zain” as how we pronounce ز or is it “Zain” as good ok let say that it means good haw this is better that MTC despite the friendly look. what i want to say is change is always nice but it needs to be justified!!! now for the logo i understand that it’s an abstraction of zain in arabic, but unfortunately it look like most of our governmental authorities and campaigns logos “curves and circles” just typical.
Dunno if I like it or not, I like that shade of green/blue but just seems like a logo for a lounge or a bar. I think it’s nicer being Zyn rather then Zain.

PWC changed its name to Agility, and everyday limit down from that day on.. (jinx), I’m wondering.. is this what’s gonna happen with MTC? Are they gonna jinx their own company with this new name? yes yes yes.. I am a financier, and I worry about that.. lol
D.R. change is very good.. just pass through the first few days.. and things always gets normal thereafter

zain sounds good .. it reminds back at the time when there was a chanal called zain related to youth issues .. however they shut it down for some reason ..i guess yeah it was libanies .. anyways good luck MTC and please fix your network for god sake …lol
