I have been with MTC for the past 10 years at least. I rarely had any problems with the company or the service, until recently!
Anyone who uses MTC these days must have noticed how shit the service has become! It started more than a month ago, when the network went down for a few hours. They said it was an error in the network and they gave everyone that Friday free supposedly. It has been a month since then and the network is still absolutely shit! I got more dropped calls and network problems in the past month than I did in my 10 years using MTC!
Everyone knows how MTC is expanding globally and they are entering more and more markets every day, and as Kuwaitis we are very proud of a local company turning international ….. but not if that means they forget about their local market which is now only a small portion of their total client base!!!
I have been threatening to switch to Wataniya for a while, and I think it will be done very soon, because the quality of service Im getting as an MTC customer is unacceptable! I have ben forced to make most calls more than once because of these network problems or whatever they are, and it has been going on for way too long!
I just wish our telecom companies here had the same option as the Saudi ones where you can keep the same number and switch! And since we mentioned Saudi telecom companies, why do they offer services that are alot more advanced than the basic stuff we have here?

Yesterday, I had a hard time trying to make just one phone call from 2-4pm. Most of the kids at my college were having trouble as well.
I used to think it was my mobile acting up, but the thing’s barely a year old…

I’m not a wataniya fan, it used to have lots of problems too… but as i said Used.
I knew one thing about MTC is that they have no one to do the work, and once they find one person they put all the load on him and the work can’t be done by one person.
Wataniya on the other hand is getting better and better but their only problem is the customer service is laousy unlike MTC now you don’t have to talk to anyone to solve a problem, you can do it on your own.
One important point between MTC and wataniya, is that MTC are much more expensive in their minutes as well as the registration fees if you have a repeated digits phone number. While in wataniya it is much cheaper. If you pay 30 KD’s per month with MTC you will pay 15KD in wataniya
Wataniya supports Yahoo and many other websites … while MTC barely care about these things since they were planing on e-go.
If you were in a service free location, MTC would be off while wataniya will connect you directly to another company on that area.
Still want MTC?
I know for my self yes, why? because i love their online services, it can solve all my problems all around the world. And i would love to keep my no.

as a customer, you should be that center minded and i dont blame you, and am not defending MTC, not at all. but you need to go ask the ministry of Information to change their new frequencies. unfortunatly no one there is intelegent enough to ask other companies about the frequencies their using and just use it anyways. it has been up now for more than a month and technically this is causing all the bad call quality and drops. the outage is true, that is MTC’s problem but you government sector is messing up MTC’s frequency, hence, the bad quality.

main difference between the two companies in saudi and kuwait.
in saudi u get the feeling that both companies are really competing and trying to throw out the newest services.
i kuwait, wataniya gave up a long time ago and settled for the prepaid market mainly. u dont really feel that mtc and wataniya “hate” eachother.

Both companies are against us “the consumers”.
I have a suggestion lets us all ( MTC and NMTC client’s) joint together to stop using the mobiles for a week time and then you will see how the only 2 domain companies will react. (if all of you complainers are seriously)

I agree with the opinion that there is no competition between the two companies and both agreed on the expense of the consumer for their own profit. Invoices are always over, service & promotions are nothing in comparison to other countries and the price of outside msgs. is exaggerated.
Where to go, hope the 3rd coming Co. will not also be with them on us.

u cud wait until the area codes take effect and go to wataniya and buy the same # as ur mtc one. it’s supposed to take effect next month..?

you should have switched to wataniya long time ago , i did , at least they know what CUSTOMER SERVICE means. i tried both and found out , you try for yourself
