I saw this ad yesterday that I really liked, and wanted to post on my blog. While looking for it to scan it, I found so many other good ads for valentines, so I’ll put a couple that I really liked and thought were very smart in taking advantage of the occassion.

I just upgraded wordpress on my blog from an ancient version to this new 2.1 version.

I wasnt sure what I was doing to be honest!

For about 10 or 15 mins, I thought I lost my blog….really I did..

I actually felt like I lost a part of me for a moment! I kept telling myself everything is ok, but then there was nothing on the main page and all i could do was think of some posts, the one that kept popping up on my mind was the sabiyya visit for some reason!

The feeling of losing all my posts is not the same as working on a project and losing it without saving (which has been happening alot recently), its more of losing an idea or a belief.

This blog really does mean alot to me, I have had it for a much longer time that I have had a single job. So far its been almost 2 years and a half!

I just thought Id share these very weird feelings I got when I thought I lost this small spot on Web 2.0! Funny how someone can get attached to something so intangible and abstract such as a website!

Ever thought of what it would feel like to lose your blog? (for bloggers obviously)

How many of you want to start their own business but are not sure how to start?

How many of you want to start their own business but don’t have the capital to start?

How many of you have actually started your own small business?

If so, what were the difficulties you faced in setting it up?

If the concept of money did not exist, in the sense that you didn’t have to try to get it because it does not exist … what would you be doing with your life?

And I dont mean things like bumming around or chilling, I mean what would you dedicate your life for? what would you be doing in the world?

How does that compare with your job?

And then there is the list of laws to be implemented to help save our sports -

الإقتراحات بقوانين المرفوعة من لجنه الشباب والرياضة

1-      الإحتراف (ويتضمن تطبيق قانون الإحتراف بشقيه الكلي والجزئي فورا).

2-      الإستثمار (إضافة فقرة جديدة إلى المادة 25 من المرسوم رقم 42 لسنة 1978 في شأن الهيئات الرياضية) السماح للأندية الرياضية حق استثمار المساحات الخالية فيها على أن تكون قواعد واجراءات هذا الاستثمار واضحة ومحددة وأن تخضع للرقابة المسبقة واللاحقة لديوان المحاسبة.

3-      دعم الأندية الرياضية: يهدف هذا إلى زيادة الدعم السنوي للأندية الرياضية المشهرة وفقا لأحكام المرسوم بقانون رقم 42 لسنة 1978 من 230 ألف إلى 500 ألف.

4-      التفرغ الرياضي (الإقتراح بقانون في شأن “بتعديل بعض أحكام المرسوم بالقانون رقم 42 لسنة 1978 في شأن الهيئات الرياضية): تلزم الوزير المختص منح إجازة للاعبـين والإداريين خلال البطولات وجوبيا وليس جوازيا وهو ما اقتضى تعديل بعض المادتين 19 مكررا , 19 مكررا ب من القانون رقم 42 لسنة 1978 م في شأن الهيئات الرياضية والقوانين المعدلة له.

5-      إستكمال المنشآت الرياضية: إلزام الدولة خلال خمس سنوات من تاريخ العمل بالقانون إستكمال النقص في المنشآت الرياضية وما تعانيه من نقص يؤثر سلبا في قيامها بالوظيفة الرياضية والثقافية والإجتماعية.

6-      تعديل مجلس إدارة الهيئة العامة للشباب والرياصة: (تعديل المادة الثالثة من المرسوم يقانون رقم (43) لسنة 1992 بإنشاء الهيئة العامة للشباب والرياضة): يهدف هذا الإقتراح إلى حل مجلس إدارة الهيئة العامة للشباب والرياضة وإعادة تشكيله وفقا للتالي: تخفيض عدد أعضاء مجلس إدارة الهيئة من 18 إلى 7 كالتالي: مدير عام الهيئة – رئيسا, وممثل عن كل من الوزرات التالية: التربية. الأوقاف والشئون الإسلامية, المالية, على ألا تقل درجته عن وكيل وزارة مساعد وثلاثة أعضاء من المهتمين بشئون الشباب والرياضة يعينون بمرسوم لمدة ثلاث سنوات قابلة للتجديد بناء على ترشيح الوزير المختص, على ألا يكون رئيسا وأعضاء مجلس الإدارة من بين رؤساء أو أعضاء مجالس إدارة أي هيئة رياضية أخرى.

7-      تنظيم بعض أوجه العمل في كل من اللجنة الأولمبية الكويتية والإتحادات والأندية الرياضية: يهدف هذا الإقتراح إلى معالجة مشكلة أعضاء الأندية الذين شطبت عضويتهم بسبب عدم تسديد الإشتراكات وإجراء انتخابات الأندية والإتحادات في يوم واحد وأن تتكون مجالس إدارات الإتحادات الرياضية من ممثل واحد عن كل نادي رياضي بنتخبه مجلس إدارة النادي ولايجوز للشخص أن يجمع بين عضوية مجلس الإدارة في أي من الإتحادات والأندية الرياضية واللجنة الأولمبية الكويتية والهيئة العامة للشباب والرياضة , وبإستثناء ما يحمل إسم حضرة صاحب السمو أمير البلاد و اسم ولي العهد من المسابقات والبطولات أو النشاطات لايجوز أن يشرف الإتحاد والأندية الرياضية على أي مسابقة تحمل اسم شخص آخر طبيعيا كان أو اعتباريا إلا بمزايدة مع فتح باب المزايدة على رعاية الدوري الكويتي بحيث يبرز اسم الرعاة الرسميين من خلال مزايدة بين الأشخاص الإعتباريين أو الطبيعيي

Yes, I am still alive, and the blog is not dead either. I was just extra busy and couldn’t get motivated to think and post at all!

Hopefully, normal services will resume and the blog will be active again!
