Electricty and Water shortage

How can a country like Kuwait be suffering from shortages in electricity and water??

One of the richest countries in the world, going through the best economic periods with surplusses going through the roof…

We actually have enough extra money laying around to give every Kuwaiti 200KD for the summer!!

Our parliament members are also asking for an extra 50KD increase in all salaries every month forever, as well as dropping the loans from every citizen since we have all that extra money, right?

The why the hell are we living like Syria with electricity blackouts and water shortage right in the middle of the hottest time of the year, where the temperature is 50 degrees, no ACs are working, and at the same time people cant shower, so you can just imagine the beautiful aromas all around!

There is absolutely no sense in doing what they did, that 200,000,000 KD spent for no reason could have been easily utilized to solve any electricity or water problems, as well as fix the hospitals, get professional teachers for schools, and much much more!

The government shouldnt treat the people like kids even though they are acting like kids! AlWatan is the perfect example of begging for more money all the time, which is extremely childish, and then the government doing that to shut people up is worse!

The words “long term” and Kuwaiti government strategy dont seem to mix at all!

Really annoying!

  1. Your last sentance hit the mark. There is no long term concept here, all concepts are short team to please the general mindless public rather than the long term future for the coming generations. Bullshit.

  2. lmfao,… you got the kuwait 2006 slogan down with no ac and no water for the summer:

    SUMMER 06 KUWAIT STINKS ( literally )

    hehehe.

  3. I don’t want to shower, I feel i am wasting time! I do not care for cool air anymore, I get enough of it at work! I do not want those bright lights around the house, I have given up reading! I just want my computer to finish downloading the last season of seinfeld so that I have something to do after work.

  4. Kuwait will no longer be powered by electricity, rumor says, the government will power the country by batteries lol ( tanfee3 7ag one merchant). !

  5. No wonder then these problems were not the instantaneous but it is the remains of nepotism, the tribalism, the sectarianism and the conflict of interests

  6. Just go to any hospital, sit at the Starbucks and drink coffee.

  7. لا ماء .. لا كهرباء .. لا انترنت

  9. Who said the government does not have a long term planning?
1-Over employment of people who do not carry the right qualifications in most institutions.
2-Under employment of qualified people in the right institutions.
3-Management by default; trial and error strategy.
    4-Under table deals.
5-Annual budgeting according to personal benefits and not according to project priorities.
These are some strategies of Kuwait government, and what we are experiencing is just a beginning of yet much more to come. This is the result of long term planning. Ba3ad elcorruption ishloon sayer?

  10. not to mention the increase of the 8 million salary to 50 million

my question is are the bigshots also suffering this water and electriticy shortages? and y r there these shortages? tawfeer mathalan? takhalof i swear to god. i mean i understand that some people dont pay the bills, but does the whole country have to suffer!? its irresponsible, indecent and unfair of the gov. its THEIR fault if people dont pay, they should be more organized.

  11. thats what the government want you to think

if that 200 kd is too much for each kuwaiti we gave more to other countries , why didn’t we build hospitals in kuwait before we rebuild others ?

do you know we built a university in yemen while we had some old high school we called university ?

our government doesn’t know what to do with money , they have a lot of it but still doesn’t do anything with it

we could have build hospitals and schools and roads and a lot of other stuff and still be able to give every citizen 1000 kd

one good article ( how do they let him write these good article in alwatan ? )

    http://www.alwatan.com.kw/Default.aspx?MgDid=423530&pageId=79

i agree with him , for example you don’t see kuwait TV , i’m outside kuwait and my hotel has kuwait TV , my god the TV is mostly documentries and news , its kinda discovery with cheap programs

they even have an economic program that from london , and mention stuff like egypt company made profit , why would i care about it , i don’t know
