First of all, I apologize for misquoting the translation from KTV. It was an honest mikstake after seeing the words flash on tv for such a short time, I used breasts instead of breast.
Second of all, thanks iDip and others who refered that this the actual translation used.
Third of all, Dr. Naji AlZaid’s reply is better than anything I would have said. It being an actual translation doesnt make it right! The meaning of the phrase and the meaning of the tranlsation are two totally different things regardless!

By the way, I think it is a joke that the ministry of information decided to reply to the last sentence of Dr. AlZaid’s article and ignored his main article and left it without a reply from them!
Read it and you’ll understand what I mean -

What?? No comment on how bad the ministry was during that time?!

Damn it! You beat me to the punch.
I was writing a similar post about how the ministry only apologized for the error and not for the dismal coverage of the crisis
Oh well… I’ll have to think of something else now

i had to scream to my husband to come witness this with me! i couldnt take this alone!
So, do you want to hear a funny story?
my husband and I, (with the help of few friends!!) have been struggling with the translations of the children’s books series WELOVEKUWAIT.COM (if you haven’t seen the books please visit http://www.welovekuwait.com/books.htm ) its taking us ages to “perfect” the Arabic version, not because we cant just translate the whole thing in just one day and get it over with but because we hate take such an important matter lightly. the funny part of the story is how hard we r working on such a small family translation project compared to the officials of our country attempting to correct one mistake by another.
This reminds us of our search for a good English translation of the Holy Qur’an few
years back when we wanted to give a copy as a gift to a friend in the states, and being a translator I couldn’t just buy any version, ma3rath el ketab was a big disappointment, I remember being saved by an American muslim friend who suggested www.submission.org
I really did not want to search for the translation in my qur’an for the aya, however, I did, and its “My Lord, cool my temper”

what did you expect? i’m not surprised, i’m not even shocked
ربعنا أثبتوا إن إبداعهم بلا حدود
the only way to see things get any better, is to do them ourselves just like the guys -Allah ya36eehom el3afya- did in sa7at e9ifat. otherwise, they’ll keep screwing things up, we’ll keep ranting, o deeratna …

Excuse me, but I’m technically new around here. So I have to ask to comprehend. You’re telling me a doctor you don’t know in real life just randomly spotted your post and exposed it to the Ministry of Media? I’m just wondering.
