TOKYO - The president and other executives at Japan’s largest bourse have resigned following two computer system failures, including one that caused massive losses at a major brokerage house, the Tokyo Stock Exchange said Tuesday.

How many computer problems has the Kuwait Stock Exchange had in the past 6 months?? How much money has been lost bcz of those?? Today is just one example!
Will anyone take responsibility for that here in Kuwait? I doubt د. صعفق الركيبي (sorry no way am I going to even try spelling that in English!) or anyone involved will follow that example!

So much money yet so little regulation…
Who wants to reform or make things more transparent and efficient when the people that decide to make such changes are the ones that profit so hansomely as a result of their inaction.
Sit on your ass and make money. Doesnt get easier than that.

I posted about that in Dec, 28th and was talking about it to many friends..and the sad thing most of them thinks its normal (its Kuwait what do you expect).

why you ask ? does he have the authority to fire or hire in the first place ? can he say ” no this guy suck , i don’t want him ”
as i know , KSE is kinda government , so you can’t fire anyone , back in 1998 the IT department head had a degree in fixing AC from PAAET ( don’t know if they changed him )
