How ironic is it that a group like Hamas wins the Palestenian elections?
Even more ironic that Palestine right now is the most democratic state in the Arab world!
Glad things went well for them and much respect goes to them for taking this step and being civilized about the results (so far).
What a crazy world we live in!

The other irony part is now that they are a democraticly elected government Israel doesn’t want to talk to them since Hammas is a major part of it.
I dont trust democracies too many idiots with the right to vote. Like your slogan: “A word to the wise ain’t necessary, it’s the stupid ones who need the advice.”

Well Hamas has been working among the Palestinians for along time, while Fath’s leaders were(are) living above the people. The other thing is, the believe of Hamas is what the majority of that poor nation believe in. (there is nothing called Israel and all of that land is for Palestinians)

Though I don’t trust the government or anything political, I disagree with Nibaq’s distrust of democratic institutions. Although it’s not the most efficient system, it’s the closest form to equality and justice. I also like the name of the (party?) “7amas”…whenever I hear it mentioned, I feel their fervor, whether it be present or not in reality…
