Kuwait University is hosting a film festival that starts today, November 12th, and continues until Wednesday, November 16th.

The films start at 7 pm everyday, and each day will be dedicated to films from a different country.
For people who love foreign films (me) and for people who don’t like going to the cinema in Kuwait (also me), this is the perfect opportunity for some much needed quality film time!
For a full schedule and a better idea of what films are showing when, please click on the picture.
If you have any interest in stuff like this, please try to attend! Things like this really need to be encouraged as much as possible, and we need more!
See you there!

there must be a catch, you would not put a post unless you get something
Purg, yeah there is of course!! I mentioned it in the post!
I cant go to cinema bcz of my boycott and I like foreign movies, so I want this to be a success so we can have more of it! Simple ;P
I like the leaflet. Very classy and simple
Q, none of the films are really
“foreign” … they’re mostly arabic films from “the gulf” … the arabic gulf that is.
I’m still going, see you there people
Q, TUKFA … call me like an hour (and a half) before they start to wake me up, I didn’t sleep since yesterday.
TUKFA YA WALALD!
Zaydoun, yeah i was impressed when I saw it!
tata, I guess Im used to having anything not English considered in the foriegn movie genre! But ur right, its movies from the gulf area, I dont know how I missed that! O unfortunately I dont think I can go today
Tomorrow definitely…..I will wake u up though, dont worry ;P
AM going!
You have to go see walid al awadhis film today… i been waiting to see it for a year now!
the whole thing is overrated, have no time for it.
I’m going to Tuesday’s (and maybe Monday’s) show..
The rest I’m not so sure about
I’ve seen Leila
And Ram, Al Awadhi’s was a disappointment..
Although I appreciate the effort
And by the way, Q, my sister beat you to it

I will go today with few friends. I think its worth watching..its funny that I attended some of the shooting and saw some clips during the editing when i was studying in NY, but never seen the whole movie!
Leila, I have it on DVD..
But am really excited to see the Yemeni one..I hope it will not be a dissappontment like the movie Adnan albachachi did which covered his return to Baghdad.i saw it in NY 3 or 4 months back.
Just don’t waste yr time on Alawadi’s doc.,
Saw it here 3 yrs ago.
I recommend Lila
I really appreciate KU doing those kinda things… but they just haaaave to mess up somewhere!
1) I’m in KU and I didn’t hear about this
2) It’s the most hectic week.. projects and midterms :S
So apparently it’ll be bloggers week on campus ;P and to think I decided not to go merely because of the numerous midterms I am facing this week well ;r
i wanted to major in film making but i was told there was no future with it in kuwait
and that wasnt offered for a bi3tha
