I would like to ask every one to help our brothers in humanity. I have asked everyone on my blogspot to donate but as u know no one reads mine. It is a very nice step of u to ask the other to donate for their brothers.

Whether we think any disaster is God’s wrath or God’s test is presumptuous on our part and in the end irrelevant.
So what if it was God’s wrath? We have “less” of an obligation to help?? mino gal? trying to deduce the reason why God chose a certain people or place to suffer is a waste of time. Because the answer is “unknowable”.

First time posting, avid reader though.
The most perfect word to describe people like Bo Ramya is parasite. In truth, there are so many equally perfect words, but I’d rather keep them for myself, out of respect.
Interesting side note:
Out of curiosity, did many people complain when Kuwait donated 500 million USD for the victims of Hurricane Katrina? (not a rhetorical question, I really don’t know)
I do not want to put a price on human life, however just to put things into perspective:
-For every Katrina victim (1200) Kuwait gave 416,666.667 USD
-For every South Asian quake victim (55,000) it gave 1818.18 USD
I am not arguing Kuwait’s generosity or complaining about how much they give, and who they give - I am proud of Kuwait. I am only in awe of the power of global politics.
Thank you Q for posting the donations’ website.
PS: Why do you not allow anonymous bloggers? It took me an hour to create this stupid ‘identity’

By the way, thx to Diver for posting about this way before me!
Also, please donate, it takes less than a minute and just a few clicks on ur keyboard.
xetetic, thx for visiting and commenting for the first time
I will answer the anonymous part of ur comment, its simply to avoid some problems that I had in the past, and it helps in decreasing spam significantly! Did it really take an hour to create the ID?

Yes it did. Mostly because blogger has soo many names already and because i’m stubborn and can’t just pick a name. Anyway, do you know if there was any complaining in Kuwait when it donated to Katrina?
October 18th, 2005 at 1:51 pm
To be honest, I cant remember any complaining (except from ppl outside Kuwait), but I was outside the country when thet happened so I wasnt up to date with the newspapers here and the reactions here.

People like Bo Ramya should put pressure on the Religious charities to give more to needy people in Kuwait; let the government give aid to where it deserves to be given.
Great post and we should all put ourselves in their shoes

The only complaint i heard of involved Dr. waleed 6ab6ab2y’s article abt the donations which he described as being worthless in a sense that it didnt pulblicize kuwait’s role to the american ppl and kuwait didnt ensure that it gets credit for it. Definitely makes sense.

Sorry forgot to mention i was answering xetetic’s question abt kuwait’s donations to the US

may god help them… i urge people to donate to the victims … even if it was just 1 kd you wouldnt know how much they would benift from it
and for bo ramyaa i say “isteereeeeeee7″ paying 100M for needy people abroad is better than paying 2Billion for consumer loans and most of those loan are
car loans
tarvel loans
and maxing there credit card
what kind of nation would kuwait be if they spend on irrelvant things just to show off and when the time to pay comes… nwaaab 5adammat like booramyaa trys to abuse his power !!
allah ikoon ib 3oon deeratnna

Q, what a great heart you have.. that’s very humane of you.. in a world humanity starting not to be worth anything.. I guess there is still good in the world..
I have made the donation through NBK site the first day they had it on their site.. and like you said, what is K.D 100 in today’s life.. I swear I spend this much on a party of five at MAKI in one night.. I hope that put things in to prospective.. And as far as whether it is a test and /or a curse depending on who we like or dislike.. I refrain from commenting about it, but I wondered the same thing you said on the first day after the earthquake..

Dr. Zaghloul El Naggar, the famous Islamic Islamic thinker, said in a recent interview that any natural disaster is either a) a test for the pious, b) a punishment for the sinner, or c) a gift from God for the survivor. Thus all of humanity is covered and everybody then feels there is a religious explanation for any natural phenomenon.

Well done Q… and I salute using the “guilt-trip” approach, because sometimes its the only thing that works!

Your first two pictured don’t show. And the baby in the last picture ey3awir elgalb. 7aram
As for the likes of Bu Ramia and Tabtabai, How can helping another who is in need be useless (la fa’eda min-ha), and how they can justify kids’ misery at the expense of what they see as punishment from god?
It’s a sad sad world indeed when people like these are empowered to mess with the minds of the masses.

what you all dont understand guys is that this money was given to the goverment of pakistan thinking that it will be divided equaly to the people , but we all know that wont happend due to the racisim in that country , even amercia decided not to give any cash but drop food from airplanes instead of giving cash to abusing goverment , that what bu ramya was hinting to , get smart guys
