First of all - can anyone explain to me what شنو يآي is??
Second - They put a sexy Angelina Jolie with a sexy pout holding her top as if its about to fall any second….and say بدون تقطيع
يعني يا كويتيين يا همج ياللي مو شايفين خير اذا اشتركتوا السالفة فيها “لابسة من غير هدوم” و بدون تقطيع يا “هورني باستاردز”! مو مهم شنو أفلامنا و برامجنا ….. عندنا تفصصصصصصصصخ

Ok…I don’t know what is “شنو ياي”!! Here we go again with ads in this coutry that are just are AWFUL!! It sounds like the advertiser wanted to be cute and do a play on the the different arabic accents! Like Kuwaiti saying “Shino?” and Lebanese saying “Yaaaay…sho 7ilwi”…as if being suprised to see this movie uncut!! Cheap marketing tactic…don’t you agree?

Ok..its me again. After reading it again…it also sounds like they saying “What’s Coming?” in Kuwaiti. but it’s missing something. Dunno.

JC, u know i spent so much time trying to figure out what it meant but mako fayda!! I think ur “Whats coming?” translation is the right one!
What confused me was the آ in يآي instead of a regular ا as in ياي!!
Doesnt آ mean أأ and not اا ??
I still hope whoever came up with this ad will get fired!

1st, showtime company show movies in persian language, hence I persume this “shino ya’ay” is some persian term.
2nd, this is not the first time the company put a strange-sexual-related add!! Don’t you remember when shownet was first established & had their adds in all newspapers? It was during the time when quality net & fastteleco have just started the censorship on sex sites, so what does show net put in their add…

Forza, showtime used to show a softcore movie every Tuesday madri sunday… they’ve stopped it later on. I guess that was a bit too much for the audience.

ok, I just tried to find the meaning in an English-Persian dictionary, but nothing mush was there. But I did see the term “audit” come up!?!?!
So does it mean the movie will not be audited!??!?!

اعتقد شوتايم خانهم التعبير بهالاعلان.. او الارجح انها كانت متعمده بس عذرهم زاهب للترقيع
الشوتايم اهي القناة الوحيدة اللي تعرض افلام بدون تقطيع.. تقطيع اعلانات مو تقطيع رقابه
كانت حملتهم القديمة على نفس الفكرة، انك تطالع الفيلم كامل بدون اعلانات
لكن الحين اخذوها من الصوبين الظاهر!

انا لمه شفت الاعلان في الجريدة حاولت افسر الكلمة الاولى و ما قدرت
و اعتقد سبب حملة بدون تقطيع انه اوربت في الفترة الاخيرة قامت تقطع بعض البرامج
فالشوتايم يبي يقولون انه احنا ليلحين ما مقطع

يا جماعة انا اوائل المشتركين في شوتايم الصراحة سابقا كانت الأفلام اللي فيها مقاطع جنسية وايد أكثر و خصوصا المسلسلات و الأفلام صحيح ما ممكن تشوف يعني زززززز بس كانت وايد أكثر
