This is an issue that has been puzzling me for a while now, but I always forget to write about it….
There are several non-government organizations here in Kuwait, and all of them have their headquarters somewhere in a residential area. Most of them are basically a house turned into an office, but a few (mainly a couple), are huge!
The two I was wondering about are -
جمعية الاصلاح
(Ikhwan backing)
جمعية إحياء التراث الإسلامي
(Salaf backing)
Jam3iyat AlIsla7 have their main headquarters in AlRawda area, right on the highway, and its probably bigger than the huge Rawda jam3iya.
Jam3iyat I7ya’ AlTuraath have their headquarters in Qurtoba, in the middle of the area, and its probably 3 times as big as the new jam3iya, which is huge!
Both organizations have several other houses around Kuwait, many of which are unlicensed (thats not the issue here for now). My question is…..how the HELL did they get that land?!?!??!? As real estate, both plots of land are worth several millions im sure!
When and how did they get that land?? Did they apply to it as a nonprofit organization?? Did the government just decide to give it to them?? Do they pay rent? and how come its only those two that got that land and no other organization?!
I would love to know an expert’s opinion on this issue, and what the current value of that land would be about!
Out of the other organizations that I can think of, جمعية الخريجين، الجمعية الثقافية النسائية، الهلال الأحمر، جمعية المحامين الكويتية، جمعية الفنون التشكياية ….. and any others I can remember, none of them is even 20% the size of the first two I mentioned!! How come?!

جمعية الاصلاح و المقر أنشا فى عز مد الاخوان…
و التمويل للاخوان مصادره متعدده و كبيره..يعنى مقر الاخوان حاله خاصة
أحياء التراث وضعها عادى..
بس حتى الجمعيات الثانيه مقارها بمئات الالاف..
الجمعيه النسائيه مثلا بالخالديه…
و مقر الجمعية الكويتيه للفنون التشكليه..بحولى و على الشارع..
من صادها عشى عياله يا كيو:)

هل يمكن حشد كل المنتمين للأخوان و السلف فى البيتين و ثم قفل الأبواب و الشبابيك و حبسهم إلى يوم الدين مع توفير كل ما يحتاجونه من متطلبات الحياة اليومية بالإضافة إلى عدد لا محدود من المايوهات الإسلامية
يعيشون فى بيوت جمعياتهم العملاقة كما يشاؤون…يأكلون و يلبسون و يتمتعون لحد الثمالة بضوابطهم الراقية

أنا أطالب ببيوت أكبر لهم و لا بأس أن تهديهم حكومتنا منطقة كاملة محاطة بسور و نخل صناعى ليرتاحون…ويرحيونا

سؤال غريب ؟؟ ليش مبنى جمعية الاصلاح واحياء التراث حجمهم كبير وموقعهم متميز ..؟؟ أنا اشوف ان كل مبانى جمعيات النفع العام مميزه … بعضهم من الحكومه الارض والمبنى وبعضهم مؤجريين ..؟؟ وبعدين يا أخ كيو عمر ماكان كبر الحجم مقياس للقوه .. مثل مانقول احنا فى الامثال الكويتيه الناس مظاهر مو مناظر … يعنى ان شفت واحد أو وحده سايقين ماكلاريين هل يعنى هو الاحسن والاجمل والاغنى فى الكويت … ماأدرى كيو … ان كنت متحامل على اى واحد عنده لحيه هذا شىء ثانى … وبس خلاص … اى .. اى .. عندى سؤال أخى كيو .. ليش الكاتب عبداللطيف الدعيج دايما يقول الكويت قبل 30 سنه …اشمعنى 30 سنه ؟؟ فى شىء مانعرفه ؟؟ ارجو توجه لابو راكان هذا السؤال علشان انت واسطتنا عنده … وبس سلامتكم

كلما قدمت الجمعيه كلما كان كقرها اكبر
الكويت كانت كريمه قبل
و عطائها قام يقل كل عقد
يعنى مثلا قبل العسكريين يعطونهم بيوت بمشرف
الحين ماكو
قبل كل جمعيه لها دعم
الحين الحمعيات الجديده ماكو
و بعدين مو بس قديمين ، يبيلها مجابل و واسطه
يعنى مثلا البولينج نوهم موئسسين اتحاده و الحين عندهم صاله
و اليد و السله و الطائره للحين يطرون

رباب .. ليسمحلي كيو بالرد على سؤالك ، حكومتنا تستخدم القوى الدينية لتخدير وتنويم المجتمع بما يسمى “الصحوة”.
ريما .. قبل 30 سنة تعني قبل سنوات الردة والرجعية اللي طوعت الحكومة فيها القوى الدينية لضرب القوى الوطنية وتخدير وعي الناس الديمقراطي.
و ما أعتقد كل مباني جمعيات النفع العام متميزة ، جمعية الخريجين وللا الطبية وللا المهندسين نفس الاصلاح؟ حرام عليك!
جمعية الاصلاح ليست مبنى وملاعب كرة فقط ، هي دولة داخل دولة ، اسألي السنعوسي عنها وأبناء القطعة المجاورة.

BoMaryoom, haathy ma 3alaiha khilaaf, iltamweel mawjood o masaadra waayid bes did they go and buy that land? I doubt it! How did they get it? o i7yaa’ alturaath tara mabnaahum huge, maakhith qi63a kaamla o al7een they expanding it within! o iljam3iyat ilthaanya illy u mentioned sa7 have good locations also, but they’re only a fraction of the size of the other two!

q8ibloger, ya3ny if we do enough sraakh o annoyance they will give us land to stop headache? what upsets me is the inequality in distribution of these lands by the government in the past which in turn ended up hurting them with these organizations working as recruitment centers sometimes!

reemaq8, read jandeef’s reply! also, ” عمر ماكان كبر الحجم مقياس للقوه” i disagree! when it comes to the government giving you land, and they give u 30 meters and your neighbour 200 meters, wouldnt u start thinking about why? o ilso’aal ilthaany, shmi3na 30 sina?? look at kuwait before 30 years and look at kuwait now! how many countries can say they were a better society and more advanced in many ways 30 years ago?! o ilso’aal ilthaalith about Mr. AlDu3aij, walla lil asaf I dont personally know him, but Im very happy and honored to know that he passes by and reads my blog every now and then! I hope I cleared all these up.
Forza, this has to be the first real answer to my question! It makes sense! So this brings us to the next question, when did these jam3iyaat start?

رداً على سؤالج مرة أخرى بـ “الكويتي” .. في السبعينات ومع بداية سقوط القوميين العرب وظهور الاخوان المسلمين من جديد ، وتزامناً مع حل مجلس الأمة في 1976 ، يعني منذ 30 عام حصل الآتي:
- أعطت الحكومة نفسها الحق بإغلاق الصحف دون حكم محكمة
- حل جمعية المعلمين ورابطة الأدباء ونادي الاستقلال وجمعية الصحفيين وجمعية المحامين لأنهم وقعوا على بيان ينتقد الحكومة ، علماً بأن جميعها عادت لاحقاً ما عدى نادي الاستقلال الذي كان معقل القوى الوطنية ، فقد صادرت الحكومة ممتلكاته وحولته لنادي المعاقين ، في حين سلمت الخيط والمخيط لجمعيتي الاصلاح واحياء التراث.
- مضايقة أعضاء اتحاد الطلبة في الجامعية لأنهم وقعوا على نفس البيان.
- تقنين تزوير الانتخابات بزيادة الدوائر ونقل الأصوات.
- تشكيل لجنة تنقيح الدستور للحد من حريات الشعب.
- منع التجمعات.
وإلى يومنا هذا ، لا تزال تراخيص إصدار الصحف ممنوعة ، تأسيس جمعيات النفع العام يرجع لهوى الحكومة وليس الدستور ، ولا يزال أعضاء نادي الاستقلال ينادون بإعادة ناديهم ، وما زال الكثيرون يطالبون بتراخيص إصدار الصحف ولكن الحكومة عمك أصمخ ، ضاربة بالدستور عرض الحائط.
كل هذا حدث بعد 1976 ، أتمنى وضح معنى “30 سنة” الحين.

شنو قدمت جمعية الخريجين مثلا للمجتمع والكويت مقارنة بجمعية الاصلاح وجمعية إحياء التراث الاسلامي ؟
ولا شيء
واذا انت مثلا تشوف ان جمعية احياء التراث انشطتها تخلف وتضر بالمجتمع وتتستر بالدين ، فغيرك يشوفونها من افضل جمعيات النفع العام في الكويت ومستفيدين من جهودها الدعوية .

انا صراحه اختلف معاك في هذي النقطة..
اولا.. هالجمعيات قعد تنفع ولا تضر وصراحه في مجموعه كبيرة من الشباب داخل قاعدين يستفيدون ومريحين العالم احسن لهم من اي شي ثاني وانت فاهم قصدي وانا شخصيا استفدت الكثير منها
وثانيا.. ليش هديت الأشياء الثانيه وركزت على جمعيه الاصلاح والنشىء؟
ليش تنظر لها بأن اذا صارو اسلاميين ومتديننين ما يكون لهم حق انا يحصلون أماكن جذي, وبعدين قبل لا تسأل عن هذول اسأل عن “الأسرة المالكة ” وشمسوين وبعدين قد يكون انهم حصلوا هل

اذا انا ما عندي واسطة ولا فلوس ، بس عندي افكار تنفع الصغار والكبار لشغل وقت فراغهم وبعد يستفيدون ، منو رح يعطيني الارض ؟ واذا كنت بسوي جمعية نفع عام علشان تصير رسمية مو يمكن اضيع بالطوشة بمجلس ادارة الجمعية
واذا رحت حق الشركات اللي تساعد في راس المال اخاف تنسرق افكاري ( يعني افكاري ماكو منها ) بس صج افكاري ادري انها حلوة ومميزة المهم منو عندي غير الله
