I have nothing to post on, but I found something interesting using statcounter.com, the best website to get stats on your website.
Anyway, when I wrote the thing on Tabtaba’i earlier, an Islamic messageboard mentioned my website, and they used they described it as a “khamma” website! I had the honor of being with zaydoun and abu 7afs in the same column as khamma. Anywaaay….that is not what I wanted to say….the point is, I was mentioned there. On that particular day, I had more visitors that I ever did since I started this blog.
When I say more, I dont mean they broke the record by 10 or 20 visitors, my visitor count nearly DOUBLED in one day!! Check out this graph, it gives you the number of visitors, and you can see that the number is increasing gradually since starting. If we take the pageloads as a measure, you can see that I got 600 pageloads twice, and that is considered great! On that one day, I had 1163 pageloads! Sweet!
Sij inna Any publicity is good publicity ;P So anyone else want to say crap about me at any website or blog or messageboard, by all means, please do!!
By the way, notice how the number dips on weekends!! Just shows how busy you people are during work ;P
This graph shows the diverse crowd of visitors, thought it was interesting too. I would love to know who’s from Hong Kong? Bcz whoever that person is, he or she visits everyday!

Nice one Q, LOL
This stat counter is really amazing, I just added it a week ago, but the links still confuse me, like it mentions the visitor’s path from a blogger in Kuwait and on the top it says NYC!!!!! What does that mean?

ayya, I think it shows u that specific blogger’s path in ur website, ya3ny the new york thing is where he or she is from, and it shows u how many times he came into ur blog and when and what path he took inside….makes sense?
esetch, sorry our khamma club is exclusive! I will have to meet with my fellow khammas and we shall vote about u being a khamma or not ;P or go to an Islamic website and start talking shit about ur blog

ayya, to be honest the only options i check are ‘recent pageload activity’ and ‘came from’, which has to be my favorite!
I think almost 80% of everyone who stumbled into my blog by mistake did so by looking up Jumaro, and they got this! Check it out, look up jumaro on google, im on the first page!

Q,
About the Hong-Kong thing. Man from my experience with webstats, sometimes they’re not very representative. I used to run a website that had all sorts of funky visit sources. I had Israel and Belgium and more. Turns out to be nothing but spam visits. Computers programmed to track keywords. Keep in mind the site i was running was almost all arabic. So you can imagine how effective spam is if it were english, like yours.

Yes any publicity is good publicity. But man .. Blogs are still clean and fun with most of them being liberal. Once the word is spread out at the other side of the bank, they’ll come to you kal 6oufan.
I mean look at how forums are screwed up. You can’t find any of their forums without such discussions as shee3a-sunna and all that crap.
Please .. Keep Blogs Clean.
