This is not an April fool’s joke…حرامي كيفان

Please do not miss this…..

Waleed Tabtaba’i, Taliban’s embassador here in Kuwait, is a thief. Yes, 7araaamy!

He claims integrity and wants to be the man who teaches all Kuwaitis how to raise their kids according to his morals and high religious standards is a lying thief!

Read this article in AlWatan dated January 9th 2005!

Then read this article published in Islamweb.net on December 8th 2004 and taken from majalat al majalla (which means it was published even before that date).

Do u see any similarities?!? Well, the main difference is the author’s name, other than that, he STOLE it!

Thanks to a fellow blogger who showed me this link from منتتدى الشبكة الليبرالية الكويتية…..It shows the exact phrases and ideas he stole. Exactly a month after it was published by Fahmi Huwaidi, he copies it and publishes it on a daily newspaper?! I really hope this gets mentioned nationwide, but the powers that be are there to cover for him unfortunately.

Its the curse of Anti women rights….each MP who spoke loudly against women rights has had some kind of trouble or a scandal..

That’s pretty serious Q! It’s not like he mistakenly forgot to reference or used some phrases which he had no idea he had read before…these are huge chunks of plagiarised work..being passed of as his own..

I also received an email on a similar case of plagerism in which Dr.Abdul Razzag Al-Shaygee (sharee3a professor) is the accused.

They should be persecuted legally.

Today, April 1st, his article in AlWatan is also an EXACT copy from Abdulla AlMisfir’s article from the Feb/March issue of AlBayan Magazine.

The only other explanation for his stealing is that the guy a mind reader?!? I stick to my original though, he just thinks his readers are total idiots!

I also blame al watan for publishing his articles! I know there is no way to compare New York Times to Alwatan but remember when they fired Blair for fabricating his stories and then they fired top 5 editors for not checking on his articles and sources!…eb 9ara7a Alwatan should fire people for this and apologize for their readers…o they should stop publishing his articles in their newspaper..because
they are violating basic rules of journalism.

The guy is out of control…I wonder what he is thinking? Copies could be made and given to some of the writers in the papers that would love to howl about it. If enough of a fuss is tossed up at least his credibility would suffer, as it should, even if he is protected by his worshippers and fellow narrow minded man. He should know the basic rules of integrity in writing. Wouldn’t the writers he stole from like to know he did this?

I missed commenting here so what’s new? Dr abdullah alnifisi did it all the time. He stole from British papers and magazines, also Sami alnasef do that alot.
One time both of these guys stole the same article and published it in the same week!

But I still have hope in our columnists, some actually think that respect and integrity are important.

About the article, yes it’s true. It happened a long time ago ya Q (1990’s)and I never thought it’s that important. I guess it’s bcz I know how things ae done in the q8ty news papers.
I hate to break it to you bas wallah Plagiarism happens on a daily bases, and it’s NOT a big deal in the kuwaiti publications.

NYchick, I disagree about it not being a big deal in Kuwaiti publications. I think the fact that two people wrote articles about it shows that its not something to be taken lightly. I personally showed this to a couple of daily column writers here in Kuwait and they also agreed that its not acceptable at all.
Also, remember that we are talking about a person with a large readership, and a certain level of professionalism expected from the most popular daily writers (at least).
Shakla as much as Im an optimist, ur a pessimist ;P
O I would love to get my hand on AlNisf’s article, I would post it here to expose any people too lazy to do their jobs and steal other people’s efforts.
