This copy of the murderer’s civil ID was published in yesterday’s AlQabas.
You know whats the scary part? This guy was our next door neighbour for a long time!! He used to rent a place from the guy who wanted to start الأمر بالمعروف و النهي عن المنكر in Kuwait (where they have sticks and run around telling women to cover up like in Saudi). I used to see him when I leave the house, at first I used to say hello, but he was such an ass that he never replied (bcz I was very obviously a liberal).
Anyway, that “saying hi” trend went from trying to be friendly to raising the music really loud and staring him till he turns his head the other way.
When I saw the pic, I recognized him at once, but thought I was crazy, bcz someone wouldve mentioned something from home. So….my mom calls a few mins later telling me the same thing!! Apparently, all the drivers of the neighborhood gathered together in some sort of emergency meeting at the Qurtoba drivers councel and made a decision that it was in fact him, and if I had my doubts before, then I am sure now! (He moved out a couple of weeks ago I think)
So in conclusion, I lived near a murderer, and I actually was giving a murderer dirty looks for many years! scary, no?

Driver council is where all the drivers and male cooks gather on a daily basis to smoke and socialize, they know more about this place than anybody else, since they’r actually walking around the street on a daily basis…makes sense, no?

Q.. as you know, I live right next door to a branch of the Islam Presentation Committee. Fortunately it’s a Women’s branch so we hardly feel their presence… the crowd is mostly Asian maids brought over by their sponsors to learn about Islam. What will Islam gain from their entry?
I would’ve thought courses in basic home skills such as cleaning, cooking and sewing would’ve been more useful to improve these women’s lives.. but what do I know?

Zaydoun, our maid went there and converted to muslim, which I guess was fine, its her life, its her decision, but then she started saying a couple of things and giving advice about religion. Thats when she was given a lecture about “keeping ur ideas to urself or leave”, its been fine and dandy since ;P

bo rashed, to answer ur question, no it wasnt my shirt, it was probably my shorts! I wear shorts on a daily basis during summer, bcz its comfortable. Add the loud music when I see him, the fact that noone in our house is mu7ajaba, and other things that I cant mention here. As for your second part, yes I agree, in Islam everyone is supposed to be equal. Also, in Islam it says something about treating everyone with respect, especially ur neighbors (until saabi3 jaar)! Both these bearded guys, the killer and the amr bilma3roof guy NEVER say hi or reply to anyone bilshaari3! That doesnt fit anything in Islam.
