This time I DID hear gunshots, shortly followed by police sirens, went on for a while!
I live in Qurtoba btw (another Q), and I heard gunshots close by, called someone else in qurtoba, the first thing they said was “did u hear the gunshots?” A few minutes later, police sirens, although they seemed more distant.
So, to all of you who called me paranoid before, I’ll say it again, it happened in Hawalli, then today it happened in Um AlHaiman, and there will be ALOT more coming soon! If you think this is sa7abat saif or Im being too paranoid, WAKE UP! ur country is being attacked from the inside!
Anyway, I need to sleep, I have a huge rant coming up tomorrow about the situation! Its a JOKE how things r being handled….good night….stay safe….o Alla ya7fith liKuwait o ahalha inshalla.

I heard that there was some police chasing in Surrah yesterday, and that two weeks before the NYE the Saudi officials notified Q8i government of terrorists deployed in Q8i grounds through the desert borders. And the reason why all the festivities were banned in NYE was for protection. Any way this makes sense now after what we’ve been going through lately. I think the interior ministry did well today, considering what might have happened if those terrorists had accomplished the plans they had. But it is also disturbing to guess what they might do next to retaliate. The funny thing in this whole dilemma is the announcement made by the Islamists to condemn the incident, while the whole episode is backed by them, as a result of their constant preaching. I keep asking myself: what can an individual do in these circumstances? What is our role now? Do we stand shaking heads and swallowing our sorrows? I personally don’t have any answer to that, all I can do is feel more depressed and wait for a miracle to happen.

This time I didn’y see OBL running through the streets…. But I had a dream of Kurt Cobain singing a duet with Shadi AlKhaleej!!!
Shadi was singing “giltillah ba6aal” & Kurt was screaming in a Kuwaiti-English accent, “Kaaaaleeeeeneee beel beeeeeeeeeeet”!!!!!

These guys have the support of many Kuwaiti MPs.
Q
Have you wondered why in Qurtuba? you know Jameyat E7yaa alturath جمعية إحياء التراث- the bees hive.

What’s going on in Kuwait is creepy, I always knew there’d be a backlash to our undying support of Bush.
Holla Back.
January 16th, 2005 at 10:32 am
esetch, i know, that place has always given me the creeps! It attracts kids like magnets to play football at first, and then slowly drags them in deeper and deeper! I always make sure to have my music on full blast whenever I pass the small street right next to the football area! Call me an insensitive ass, but it makes me feel better, I love the dirty looks I get, sometimes i sing along for added effect
1814, its way more than that! Its a whole cultural backlash for the government whoring itself since the invasion and basically granting these Islamists full power to do whatever they want for many years! They have infiltrated the most vital areas such as schools and army, and with that you create a whole new generation of disillisioned children who grow up to be disillusioned teenagers, doing crazy stuff with crazy ideas that were never there and have nothing to do with Islam!
January 16th, 2005 at 11:19 am
They’ve also diffused a bomb in Fanar Mall but have decided to keep it “hush-hush” so as not to scare the people.
Also on the same day that all that hooplah happened at Hawally some other stuff happened in Shamiya and Shamiya was blocked but only Hawally got all the lime-light.
Looking forward to your next “rant” about the situation Q, stay safe everyone.

Q
Have you ever noticed the way they nurture the youngsters? So many times I see an adult accompanied by 3-5 kids dinning, probably (most likely) brainwashing them.
I was told a story of this lady that introduced her kid to one of those people, after a while this kid told his mother that she is Kafera because she is not a salafi lady. Imagine turning a kid against his mother.
I remember long time ago (mid eighties); when we were camping, to our luck, next to Salafi (Trath) spring camp. One day they slaughtered no less than 50 sheep. At sun set almost all GMC Suburban in Kuwait arrived carrying kids different ages.
Yesterday’s kids today’s terrorists.

January 18th, 2005 at 4:59 am
Dear Mr.Q,
Thankyou for your informative blogs. Your news agency has outdone Kuna once again. We currently have no where to run. To the North things aren’t looking so good. To the south…dont get me started…going to the south is like surrendering to the enemy. So we are kinda of stuck. I suggest stocking up on DVD’s while they are still available..Lots of Pepsi (its 7aram and made by imperialist U.S.) as well as Nancy 3ajram tapes and posters. Hug your families and stay in your basement for the next 3 months. Come out when the dust settles. You will have a beard by then and easily blend in with the population.
Misguided

January 18th, 2005 at 11:49 am
LOL zaydoun, I just saw the logo, they nearly ripped me off! Where are my copyright laws?!?! Oh wait, its Kuwait
Ra-1, I heard loud bangs at around 8, looked out, some idiots were firing fireworks!! Unbelievably irresponsible at a time like this! Anyway, later on at around 11:30, I got a call from someone in Qurtoba saying they heard lots of gunshots, and that I should be careful in coming back…..but when I went back it seemed quiet enough!
