You all know me as Q, and as much as I’d like to say I’m the one and only Q, I’m not!

I have been called Q for many years, literally! Most friends of mine back in the US know me as Q, and its a name that stuck with me since highschool, with a teacher of mine deciding that Q is alot easier than the real name, and I like it!

I’ve had people come up to me and say, “oh, Q as in the character Q from James Bond?” Well, most people know that Q, but there are other famous Q’s, tell me if you know any more….

First of all, the famous James Bond Q, played by actor Desmond Llewelyn. Q was the gadget master, providing Bond with the latest and most creative devices to be used in Bond’s adventures

Second, comes perhaps one of the most powerful entertainers of the 1980s, Quincy Jones’ 29-Grammy stamp on popular music ranges from 1950s jazz to 1990s pop, R&B and rap.

And then there is a less known Q, mostly known by geeks and trekkies. I found out about him from a trekkie friend of mine in the US, and a couple of people also asked me, “oh, Q as in Q from Star Trek?” The character Q is played by actor John DeLancie, and the in the series, Q has an astonishing IQ of 2005 and God-like powers.
