This is the first Kuwaitism exclusive breaking news….well, actually its yesterday’s news, but at least its not in any of the newspapers yet!
Anyway, apparently, Al Rai Alaam newspaper will go on public auction! As of last night, a court order was issued in which both AlMusa3eed and Budai lost control of the newspaper. After years of legal wars, with Budai taking over from Msa3eed, with Msa3eed being “sa7ib alimtiyaaz” whereas Budai became “ra’ees ta7reer”, now it goes to a public auction where the highest bidder will become the next owner of the newspaper!
The information above is not accurate, it will be updated to become more accurate after asking the right people, but the gist is accurate!

Ouff.. so the story is true?
I heard some chitchat about it at work today and totally dismissed it..
I didn’t know the case was still in court!!
how come there was no mention of this in today’s papers?
And was the struggle over the newspaper only or the whole Jazeera Group?

I just got more information, 7ukm ilma7kama was issued late last night apparently, and it overturned the last 7ukum which gave Budai the rights for the newspaper, it also says that the whole aljazeera group titsaffa تتصفى o tinba3 ib mazaaad

واليوم بعد تفاجأت إنه الصحف ما أعلنوا الخبر فالظاهر ناطرين قرار المحكمة يصير رسمي
وتفاجأت أكثر إنه عمتي (زوجة المساعيد الله يرحمه) ما حطت إعلان وبالصفحة الأولى كعادتها تعلن فيه كسبها القضية إلي صارلها سنين!
عموما شي حلو وغريب إنه تكون الجريدة بمزاد
ونبارك حق المساعيد وبودي (القسم إلي واقفين مع المساعيد) وننطر إعلان عشان نتأكد عدل من الخبر

Heah .. people excuse me .. the price of alraialam IMTYAZ is now 30 MLN some expect it to rise all the way to 70 mlns … This is a peace of paper people ( the imtyaz) .. giving free.. why almisaeed or others collect mlns for it it SHOULD BE FREE IT SHOULD BE FREE

Hello everyone again, I have an updated version of the story fresh from the press (literally ;P)
Anyway, noone can deny that the case did go as planned and that after the two earlier cases went to Budai, 7ukm al isti’naaf went to AlMsa3eed.
Pure gossip - I was told that Budai went to visit bu nasir, and told him that he is willing to put everything he has to get the newspaper back bilmazaad, and apparently he got his blessings and was promised that he will get it back in the end (doubtful story)
People at AlRaialaam dont seem to be concerned about the whole story, and dont believe that it will reach the point of auction! I heard their side of the story, which I would love if Ra-1 would confirm or not seeing that she is close to the Msa3eed part.
Story as told by current Alraialaam - There was an agreement reached for the paper to be 60% / 40% divided between Budai and Msa3eed, and that when Budai paid the money to get his percentage from Msa3eed, others came in the picture and told Msa3eed that he sold it for cheap and that they are willing to pay alot more, which is when Msa3eed refused to give all the paperwork to Budai, who apparently already created a company and had his paperwork done….with one problem! Apparently, the mandoob who was doing the paperwork forgot to put a stamp worth 1KD on one of the papers, which was the loophole that alMsa3eed lawyers found and entered the whole ma7kama thing to get the newspaper back.
(Please remember this is the story as told by someone close to aljazeera company, so im not sure as to how accurate or unbiased it is, need Ra-1 to confirm)
