Since the issue of not showing “Al6areeq ilaa Kabul” has been touched upon by zaydoun’s latest post, I think I should mention this.
Flipping through AlQabas, I found another show that was cancelled after a few days of airing. This article talks more about the KTV show (which i havent seen to be honest), and the circumstances behind its cancellation. Apparently, its a candid camera kind of thing, typical of every Ramadan in the past few years, but this time, the show does the joke on poor innocent kids!!!
Emm…..we’re talking about young unspoilt minds, little children who view the world in a way of which only a child is capable of. I would like to know, who in KTV decided “hmmm……you know what?? How about we pull some pranks on little kids and then embarass them on TV in front of millions, that should be fun!”
hahahahahaha…..seriously, how messed up will the kid be when he is surrounded by adults who blatantly lie to him, make a fool out of him, publicly humiliate him, then show it to everybody in their school and neighbourhood?!
Whoever decided to go on with this show was probably beaten up everyday as a kid publicly, and probably had his pants pulled down during recess on a regular basis.
The article seriously cracked me up! LOL!

I saw two episodes, and yes, it is shameful and disgusting.
It tells you something about the society that we live in when most people find it funny to make little children cry.
What a Sick Demented Sense of Humour.
This is what they call Child Abuse.

Welcome the blogworld Q!
From the first (and last) time we saw that tv show, my mother told me it was going to get cancelled because it was a stupid show. Who wants to see kids being scared like that? That’s not entertainment. That’s just stupid. What if it was THEIR kids that were being embarrassed on tv like that? But dearest Pink I wouldn’t go as far as calling it child abuse, then again I haven’t seen much of it to actually judge but I have seen enough to know that it was utter fertilizer and deserved to get cancelled.

That was one show I was happy to see cancelled. We could blame the producer, but then KTV sanctioned it so they’re just as responsible.

Thanks Q! …..I’m so glad someone mentioned it (and glad he lost that money). I thought everyone (except me) was OK with it since they allowed it to be aired on TV.
I like good news

Q,
I know I know, I’m a bit too late to comment now! But it’s my first time on your blog .. honest ..
I saw this post and I just HAD to comment, I’ve seen this show and it’s sick! I mean they make the kids CRY and then they LAUGH ! Poor kids, they probably didn’t even get the concept of “candid camera”.
I’m glad that it’s off.

You think adults will stop lying to their kids as soon as they stop broadcasting?
